Bringing it Home Attendees Joined Good Dads for First-Ever Reunion

We loved seeing Good Dads leaders from across the state Friday, July 18, at our Family Reunion in Springfield, MO. This wonderful event was the perfect summer celebration and opportunity to make memories together.

Here’s what we’ll be thinking about for a long time:

  • The joy we witnessed as friends saw each other for the first time in a while
  • The sincere listening and genuine interest attendees had in one another
  • The thought-provoking insights on fatherhood, poverty alleviation, suicide prevention, volunteerism and elementary education that our skilled presenters shared with us
  • The wonderful live folk/bluegrass music enjoyed at lunchtime

It was truly a day to remember! We’re already thinking about what another Good Dads reunion might look like next year!

Our Gratitude To…

  • Expert speakers who generously offered their time to present on a variety of meaningful topics
    • Jason Hynson of Victory Mission
    • Sally Herman and Janice Reynolds, Good Dads Master Facilitators
    • Brandan Gremminger, PsyD, and Jeff Rogers of Burrell Behavioral Health
    • Jessica Smith and Alex Light of the Drew Lewis Foundation’s RISE program
    • Good Dads board member Mike Dawson
    • Greg Burris and Cora Scott of the Give 5 Program
  • Fantastic musicians Wayne Shelton, Dennis Edwards and Jack Wilson
  • The generous staff of the Downtown Church for providing event space
  • Good Dads volunteers, who made set-up and break-down a breeze
  • And all the wonderful chapter leaders and facilitators who made the trek to Downtown Springfield for this fun-filled event!
