Good Dads Great Communities

Good Dads Great Communities is a video and discussion-based program designed to help organizations and communities (including churches) address the needs of fathers. It is intended for use in small groups of potential stakeholders who are interested in encouraging father engagement.

Why Focus
on Fathers?

Three key ingredients for a great place to live are robust economies, safe neighborhoods and strong schools. Communities with these assets are almost always the kinds of places folks want to live, work and raise a family. Take away any one of these assets and you’ve got problems.

But without engaged fathers, a community can’t hope to have any of these!

When we foster responsible fatherhood, kids do better in school. Crime rates go down. Economies flourish. It’s clear that fathers are a critical piece of the puzzle, which is why many communities across America suffer when they fail to focus on fathers.

Good Dads Great Communities helps fill in the gaps by equipping your community with resources to assess the impacts of father absence in their area and find solutions.

A happy daughter with a ponytail hugs wraps her arms around her dad's shoulders to give him a hug.
