Project Manager

Location: Good Dads Headquarters in Springfield MO

Salary: $65,000–$70,000/yr

Organization Overview: Good Dads is dedicated to building better communities one dad at a time. We recognize that engaged fathers make a world of difference–and not just for their children. Communities that prioritize good dads are safer, have stronger schools and more robust economies. We rely heavily on a diverse funding stream (donors, grants and contracts) to sustain our programs and services, and we are seeking an individual to serve as the Project Manager for our federal grant (FORGE Fatherhood).

Position Overview: The Project Manager (PM) for the FORGE Fatherhood federal grant, known as the Good Dads Great Communities (GDGC) program, will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing a five-year, federally funded initiative designed to increase responsible father engagement, strengthen family relationships and promote economic stability across 87 counties in Missouri. The PM will work closely with the Project Director, partners, case managers and educators to ensure program fidelity, participant success and timely execution of grant milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program implementation and oversight, including coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the GDGC program across multiple regional sites
  • Curriculum and instructional support
  • Staff coordination across the grant region
  • Data management and evaluation through collaboration with the Data Manager to ensure accurate tracking of participant data
  • Oversee chapter expansion and financial plan to meet the organization’s annual revenue goals
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Director to develop strategic chapter expansion and fundraising goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, public administration, family studies or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in program coordination, project management or grant-funded program administration (five years preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, training and support
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing a team of professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, board members and volunteers
  • A deep commitment to the mission and values of the organization

Regional Coordinator – Northwest MO

Location: Good Dads Regional office in the Kansas City Metro

Salary: $50,000–$60,000/yr

Position Summary

The Regional Coordinator is responsible for identifying, launching and supporting new chapters in a specific region to expand the Good Dads mission and its impact. This role involves community outreach, strategic planning, partner cultivation, training and ongoing support to ensure the successful establishment and sustainability of each chapter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chapter Launch & Expansion
    • Identify key locations for potential chapter growth based on organizational goals and demographic research.
    • Implement plans for launching new chapters, including timelines, resources, and community engagement.
    • Recruit and onboard local leaders and volunteers to guide chapter formation.
  • Community Engagement & Outreach
    • Become familiar with all Good Dads programs by participating in facilitator training events to clearly communicate about program structure and requirements.
    • Build relationships with local organizations, churches, schools, businesses and stakeholders to support chapter development.
    • Conduct informational meetings and presentations to generate interest and recruit members.
  • Training & Support
    • Provide initial and ongoing training for chapter leaders and volunteers, ensuring alignment with organizational values, mission and programs.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for chapter leaders and facilitators, offering guidance, resources and troubleshooting support.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation
    • Track established metrics and progress of each chapter, e.g., regular reports, attendance, number of classes, etc.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, e.g. case management.
  • Resource Development
    • Collaborate with the development team to identify funding opportunities for local chapters, including grants, sponsorships, and donor engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, social work or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in community outreach, volunteer coordination or program development.
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the region.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Passionate about the mission of Good Dads and capable of representing it with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a decentralized or multi-site organization.
  • Knowledge of regional dynamics and community networks within the state.
