I love storytelling.

It started with my dad getting the newspaper each day. At first, I read the “funnies.” Then I moved onto the sports section and eventually soaked up the front page and learned about current events.

My journalism career began at a small radio station. It had a signal that went maybe five miles – tops. Since then, I’ve worked in stations with much stronger signals throughout the Midwest.

One of those stops included WKRC-TV in Cincinnati where three times The Associated Press honored me as one of Ohio’s “Best Reporters” in the annual contest. One of the more memorable stories there took me to the underground and dangerous world of street racing.

In Springfield, Missouri I’ve created several franchises from the investigative Fact Finders to the mental health and well-being related Live Life Well to the fitness-oriented Fit Life.

In this profession, I’ve met presidents, governors, actors, parents, and teachers. I can communicate with people from all walks of life.
