Get to Know Good Dads

A high number of good dads make communities a great place to live.

A can’t-miss workshop for the Good Dads newcomer.
Catch the Good Dads vision and learn how to make your community a Great Community!

January 8, 2027 • Springfield MO

What to Expect

  • What’s all the talk about fatherhood?
  • What difference does a dad make, anyway?
  • How do good dads equal great communities?
  • What does it mean to be father-focused?

We answer all these questions in this one-day intensive hosted by Good Dads!

Learn...

  • How to assess the impact of father absence in your community

  • What the research says about fatherhood in the twenty-first century

  • Funding and sustaining your responsible fatherhood vision

  • Connecting your community’s leaders across sectors

  • Launching programs for at-risk dads, dads of elementary students, blue-collar dads, couples, co-parents and more

Leave With...

  • Concrete examples for why a focus on fatherhood works

  • How to actually use these strategies in your community

  • Strategies and tools to reach fathers and provide them with the education/resources they need

Who is Orientation for?

Anyone who is interested in transforming their organization, town or county into a community who takes responsible fatherhood seriously will find this workshop helpful.

If you see yourself in any of these bullet points, you’ll know this event is for you!

  • Leaders who get the feeling that a focus on fatherhood could make a difference for the families who live in your community

  • Staff at nonprofits, counseling clinics, faith institutions, and other social services who know that reaching dads is important to your work — but may be unsure where to start

  • Followers of the Good Dads mission who, until now, haven’t had the chance to get more involved

  • Professionals feeling burnt-out on online trainings who are craving a new way to connect with and learn from other father-focused individuals

Not just another Zoom training!

A person whose head is ducked behind their laptop, grips the top of the computer while sitting at a desk, surrounded by office supplies like pencils and paper.
It's a lot harder to network while you're on Mute!

You’ve spent enough time learning alone, behind a screen. Our in-person workshops allow you to come sharpen your skills alongside others who actually do fatherhood work.

Being in the same room means you’ll have ample opportunities to spark professional connections, share resources, compare what’s working in different communities, put theory into practice, and otherwise experience the value of being together.
