After working in marketing and advertising for twenty years, Angela D. Smith founded ADsmith Marketing & Advertising in 2000 to offer customized strategic marketing plans designed to produce creative, accountable results for regional and local businesses and non-profit organizations. A lifelong resident of Springfield, MO, Angela graduated summa cum laude from Missouri State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts degree – and a hunger to give back to the southwest Missouri community.
Angela saw firsthand the deep impact a father’s presence—or absence—can have on a child’s life. As a single mother of two throughout her two children’s formative years, she carried the weight of their emotional and academic development while their father remained on the sidelines. Thankfully, her own father filled part of that void, but it was clear her children yearned for more from their dad. Now, with grandchildren of her own and a devoted partner by her side, she sees how transformative it is when fathers show up with consistency, love, and intention. That’s why she supports Good Dads wholeheartedly. Every child deserves a father who is fully engaged, and every dad deserves the support to become that kind of parent.
