Jane Williams is Love Columbia’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, serving with the organization since its inception in 2008. Her 40-year social work career includes hospital social work, foster care, and leading numerous local social justice and relief efforts.
Jane has received numerous local awards including: Griffiths Leadership Society for Women Outstanding University of Missouri Alumna among professional women 2012, University of Missouri School of Social Work Outstanding Field Instructor 2017, COMo 100 Most InfluentialCitizens 2017, CoMo Magazine Woman of Excellence in Public Service 2021, Inside Columbia Best Cultural Influencer 2021 and 2022, and Salvation Army’s Women Doing Good 2023.
Despite losing her eyesight in 2013, Jane’s vision for Love Columbia has never wavered. She says it is the amazing help provided by her family, friends, and the staff and volunteers of Love Columbia that has allowed her to continue the work she loves. She and her husband Scott have two children and six grandchildren and are founding members of Christian Fellowship Church where they have both served in many capacities.
