My name is Kevin Rice and I am 35 years old. I am a father of two beautiful kids, Madison (5) and Andrew (2). Madison is starting Kindergarten in the fall and is very excited. I am married to my wife of nearly 10 years, Sandy Rice, whom I met in Optometry school in Memphis, Tennessee. We moved back to the Springfield area after graduating and getting married. I was born and raised in the Springfield area and am glad to be back home. I went to the University of Arkansas for undergraduate and officially created a house divided as far as fan-ship of the Missouri Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
I have been an Optometrist at The Vision Clinic for nearly 10 years, along with my wife Sandy. We have recently become part owners of the business as well and enjoy the business side of things a lot. I serve on the Missouri Optometric Association board as a trustee and stay involved with the local and state society on several levels. I am also the state of Missouri’s Federal Advocacy Representative for the national Optometry association, the AOA. I am also a member of Springfield Southeast Rotary Club which I have enjoyed.
Outside of work and professional obligations I love to golf, work out, and spend time outdoors. I love watching football, golf, hockey, and baseball. I love to travel as well. We spend a lot of time with our kids and our extended families and we feel very blessed to have great relationships with our immediate and extended families.
